Business Development Executive – Freight Forwarding

Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, customer referrals, and partnerships with overseas agents and freight forwarding networks

Develop and expand the overseas agent network to generate inbound and outbound shipment opportunities and grow the company's international freight forwarding business.

Actively develop freehand business by identifying potential customers, overseas agents, and shipment opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting and quotation to negotiation, closing, and account management.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Provide tailored logistics solutions to clients, including:

-- International freight services with a focus on ocean freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight solutions.

-- Value-added services such as customs clearance procedures, trucking, and other logistics-related services.

Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.

Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms with customers, overseas agents, and service providers.

Prepare and submit reports on sales progress and customer interactions on a weekly, and monthly basis.

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.

2-3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry.

Proven experience in developing freehand business, acquiring new customers, and managing overseas agent/network accounts.

Good understanding of international freight forwarding services, commercial practices, and shipping processes.

Candidates with hands-on experience in ocean freight (FCL/LCL) or shipping line are highly preferred. Candidates with prior experience working for a shipping line will be given preference.

An existing portfolio of customers, overseas agents, or industry contacts is an advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
