JOB SCOPE
Create CNC programs using CAM software (such as Mastercam, NX CAM, SolidCAM, PowerMill, etc.)
Convert CAD drawings/models into machining toolpaths
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies
Optimize programs to reduce cycle time, improve surface finish, and minimize tool wear
Generate G-code for CNC machines (milling, turning, multi-axis)
Support CNC operators during setup and production
Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs as needed

Follow quality, safety, and manufacturing standards
Maintain proper documentation of programs and revisions
SKILLS REQUIRED
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Knowledge of cutting tools and materials
Experience with 2-axis to 5-axis machining (depending on company)
