Import Specialist

Responsible for verifying the vendor’s shipping documents and all the import formalities for the plant

Collaborate closely with the Customs & Transport Supervisor to ensure full compliance with customs regulations and the accurate execution of import transactions.

2.1.     To perform the works related to import in compliance with Vietnam customs regulations.

2.2.     Liaise with vendors to ensure the accuracy of shipping documents and proper shipping schedules.

2.3.     To ensure all transactions related to shipping document processing in SAP are performed correctly and timely manner.

2.4.     To ensure all debit notes and invoices received from service providers / vendors are correct and processed in a timely fashion.

2.5.     Coordinate with the Warehouse teams in optimizing resources for cargo receiving.

2.6.     To be actively involved in root cause analysis for import issues and perform defined corrective & preventive action plans to avoid recurrence.

2.7.     Participation in the elaboration of HS tariff numbers when required, including but not limited to raw material, spare parts, equipment, and machinery.

2.8.     To get updated on new legal requirements, policies, and regulations on importing goods from overseas.

2.9.     To work with external parties (service providers, customs officers, nominated forwarders, …) for import activities.

2.10. To coordinate with inter-company stakeholders (e.g., SSC, CSR, …) on relevant matters related to import shipment.

2.11. To inform the Managers of any irregularities or problems that require assistance, such as late delivery, shortage of supply issues,…

2.12. Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, preferably in international trade.

6+ years of working experience. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in import and export.

English: Good Communication
