Industrial Engineering Intern

An opportunity exists for two Industrial Engineering Interns based at the ER Plant in the Western Cape. The successful candidates will support continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, data analysis, and productivity enhancement projects within a manufacturing environment.

Assist with monitoring and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Support in identifying and resolving production and equipment-related issues.

Collect, analyse, and report on production and process performance data.

Participate in continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting.

Prepare and update technical documentation, reports, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Support quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

Assist with Adhoc projects, including planning, tracking, and implementation as and when required

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve operational goals.

Perform administrative and technical duties as assigned by the Manager. Minimum Requirements Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in: o Industrial Engineering o Or a related Engineering qualification. Knowledge & Skills

Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
