Intern, SCAE Mechanical Engineer

Assist in the preparation and development of mechanical system designs, including ACMV, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Support the assigned mentor in performing basic mechanical design calculations.

Use REVIT/Autocad to produce schematic and detail BIM models/2D drawings as directed by mentor.

Perform computer simulations & calculations e.g. FDS, SprinkCal as directed by mentor.

Write simple program to automate engineering calculations as directed by mentor e.g. Excel macro & generative BIM model.

Attend & assist mentor with project meetings & site inspection.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Degree Background in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent

Basic understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, building services systems and codes requirements.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, VB/Python programing, Revit is an advantage

Strong willingness to learn mechanical design calculations and engineering tools.

Good teamwork and communication skills for working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward solving problems.
