The Junior Substation Design Engineer will support Senior Electrical Specialists and Project Managers in the delivery of substation upgrade and extension projects within the 10–50 kV range. The role focuses on hands-on technical support, documentation, drawing updates, inspections, and quality assurance related to breaker replacements, switchgear retrofits, and relay protection upgrades.The position is intended for an engineer who already has practical project experience and can handle defined tasks independently, while still working under senior technical supervision.Technical and design tasksReview existing substation documentation, drawings, and cable lists for 10–50 kV installationsIndependently update and revise electrical drawings (e.g. single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams) based on project

and senior guidancePerform red-marking of existing documentation and ensure correct referencing of revised and new drawingsUpdate internal wiring, external wiring, and cable lists related to breaker replacements, switchgear retrofits, and new cubiclesSupport relay protection and control interface documentation under supervisionCoordination and communicationProvide technical input to senior project managers for planning, scheduling, and progress follow-upCoordinate technical clarifications with internal colleagues and external stakeholders under senior supervisionContribute to structured handling and version control of project documentationWork in English in an international setup involving Denmark and the Sweco Design CenterTypical tasksSupporting replacement of circuit breakers in existing substationsAssisting with installation and integration of new switchgear cubiclesUpdating drawings and cable lists for modified and newly established baysSupporting inspections, documentation checks, and punch-list follow-up 1. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar2–3 years of experience working with electrical infrastructure, substations, or industrial power systemsPractical understanding of medium-voltage systems (preferably 10–50 kV)Experience reading, updating, and quality-checking electrical schematics and technical documentationWorking knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similarGood written and spoken EnglishDesired profileAble to work independently on defined technical tasksStructured and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on documentation qualityProactive team player who seeks clarification when needed and learns from senior specialists2.
