Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

DUTIES &

Design mechanical parts, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software.Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.Work with suppliers and factory teams to support machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction improvements.Support prototype builds, NPI, and production ramp-up activities.Review supplier capability, manufacturing processes, and First Article Inspection (FAI) results.Troubleshoot manufacturing, machining, and assembly issues and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical problems.Manage engineering changes (ECO/ECN) and document revisions.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and support corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, materials, and manufacturing technologies.Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and manufacturing personnel. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.Minimum 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, equipment engineering, or machine build projects.Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or equivalent 3D/2D CAD software).Hands-on experience in:- Mechanical design and detailing- Mechanical assembly and machine integration- Tolerance analysis and GD&T- Material selection and surface finishingStrong knowledge of:- Machining processes (CNC milling, turning, sheet metal fabrication)- Weldment design and fabrication- Plating, coating, and surface treatment processesPrecision mechanical assembly and alignmentMechanical components, bearings, linear guides, ball screws, and pneumatic systemsAbility to read and interpret:- Mechanical drawings- Engineering specifications- Manufacturing and fabrication drawings- Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.Knowledge of quality tools and systems (ISO 9001, 8D, FMEA, SPC) is an advantage.Good project coordination and cross-functional communication skills.English proficiency: Intermediate level or above.PREFERRED
