Technical Leadership & ArchitectureOwn the end-to-end technical architecture of the Backbase platform, including the Digital Banking Services (DBS) backend,Identity, Entitlements, and the Web/Mobile front-end (Backbase Design System / Journeys).Define the target architecture and multi-year technical roadmap, aligning platform evolution with the bank's business strategy.Lead high-impact technical decisions: build vs. buy vs. configure, integration patterns, upgrade strategy, and management of technical debt. Your Skills and Experience Required

5+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in a senior/staff/principal-level technical role.Proven, hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions on the Backbase Engagement Banking Platform (DBS, Journeys, Identity, Entitlements).Deep expertise in Java and the Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem, on which Backbase services are built.Strong background in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven design (e.g., Kafka), and system integration in a complex enterprise environment.Solid experience with front-end technologies relevant to Backbase (Angular / Web Components / Backbase Design System).Experience with cloud and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.Strong understanding of security, performance, scalability, and resilience in mission-critical systems.Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to influence across teams. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience delivering digital banking or fintech platforms at scale. Familiarity with core banking integration and payment / card systems. Backbase certifications or demonstrable participation in large-scale Backbase implementations and upgrades. Experience working in Agile / Scrum squad-based delivery models.
