A Quantity Surveyor (QS) manages all financial and contractual aspects of construction and civil engineering projects from initial design to final completion.

Pre-Contract Work:
Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budget plans.
Take off quantities and draw up Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and tender documents.
Invite, analyze, and compare contractor and subcontractor bids.
Negotiate contract terms and pricing schedules.
Post-Contract Work:
Monitor ongoing project expenditures against the baseline budget.
Measure and value completed on-site work and assess interim payment applications.
Handle variations, change orders, and contractual claims.
Prepare the final account at project closeout.
