Trade & Marketing Officer

Strategic Trade Execution

Develop and implement trade marketing plans that align with the annual marketing calendar and category-specific goals.

Design and oversee the rollout of in-store activation programs, including seasonal promos, new product launches, and "Wellness Month" initiatives.

Ensure all trade activities embody the SJD "Care that keeps you well" brand identity.

Merchandising & Visibility

Collaborate with Category Management to define planogram standards and secondary display opportunities (e.g., endcaps, counter displays).

Manage the production and distribution of Point-of-Purchase (POP) materials, such as shelf talkers, posters, wobblers, and banners.

Conduct regular store audits to ensure merchandising standards are met and promotional materials are correctly displayed and up to date.

Supplier & Principal Relations

Coordinate with pharmaceutical and FMCG suppliers regarding trade support, sampling activities, and display rental agreements.

Negotiate for prime display slots and additional marketing support from partner brands to maximize non-sales revenue (display fees).

Evaluate the effectiveness of supplier-led activations and provide data-driven feedback.

Sales Analysis & Reporting

Monitor and analyze the performance of trade promotions and in-store activations using sales data.

Provide monthly reports on Trade Marketing ROI, identifying which activities successfully drove foot traffic and conversion.

Track competitor trade activities and pricing strategies to provide actionable insights for SJD’s competitive positioning.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Brief the Store Operations team and Brand Ambassadors on upcoming promotions, providing "talking points" and execution guidelines.

Work with the Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure sufficient stock levels are available before the launch of major trade campaigns.
